The International Energy and Environment Program (IEEP) of The Johns Hopkins Foreign Policy Institute sponsors teaching and research focused on energy markets and policies, international energy security, and the impacts of energy use on the environment. Through its monthly professional seminars and the annual Energy Conference, it provides a forum where specialists from government, industry and the academic world meet regularly to discuss trends in energy markets and issues of energy and environmental policy. One or more associates are affiliated with the program each year, working on doctoral dissertations or special projects. Here you may find information on the 2007 annual conference and a list of seminars held during the 2006-07 academic year. Information is also available for the 2008 Washington Energy Policy Conference. The IEEP publishes periodic Energy Papers and books reporting on research. Guest lectures from government and industry are organized. Supported by over a dozen corporate sponsors and participants, the IEEP program assists SAIS students seeking energy-related careers in public and private sectors.
